| Details: Eaton Corporation has 2 openings for Senior Design Engineer. Theses position will support transition of aerospace pneumatic products from legacy manufacturing operations to LCC in-house manufacturing operations in Tijuana, Mexico. These positions will develop, design, and modify products to the defined customer and/or industry requirements, including analysis, to assure compliance; prepare documents required to define the products and show verification of analytics. They will also provide technical support and assistance to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to pneumatics products manufactured in Beltsville, MD and other Eaton manufacturing plants located world-wide. Key roles and responsibilites include:List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.A. Generate new pneumatic and ducting product designs and modify existing designs to customer, applicable regulatory and industry standards, and market requirements through the use of CAD modeling techniques.B. Analyze designs through the use of finite element analysis (FEA) and other computer-aided engineering tools. Verify computer-generated results with conventional calculations.C. Create or calculate reliability analysis, tolerance stack ups, and Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA).D. Work with manufacturing and quality engineering to define, modify, edit control plan to insure product quality and long term stability in the manufacturing process. E. Review potential source changes from SCM and create and execute acceptance plan to insure product quality and function are maintained.F. Prepare design proposals to present to customers; support prototype manufacturing of productsG. Create test procedures for products based on product requirements and customer specifications. Monitor testing and analyze data to assure compliance to the established requirements. Review and approve test reports.H. Conduct failure analysis examinations and prepare Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) of findings.I. Provide technical support to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product.J. Participate in defining engineering approaches including the planning and scheduling of work, participating in cost reduction activities in support of plant-level and project-level cost out goals.K. Ensure the successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints. Prepare and present project status at monthly project review meetingsL.
